When the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar was placed on pause due to COVID-19, I must admit, I was devastated, but it was for our personal health and the health of others. However, the spirit of Ramadan did not end there.

This year, several mini bazaars are taking place at several locations. These mini bazaars offer a selection of food options and break fast favourites such as the Ramly Burger, traditional kueh and beverages.
Apart from that, Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar has made its way online in partnership with several online shopping platforms.
Mr Malabar Café
Located near Mustafa Centre, Mr Malabar Café is an eating house selling local favourite such as prata, nasi goreng and more. Operating for 24 hours a day, this is a great option for supper. In addition, in celebration of Ramadan this year, visitors get to purchase meals for iftar (break fast) at their mini Ramadan bazaar.

Craving for the famous Ramly Burger? You are in for a treat as it is available at the bazaar along with other food options. This includes dum biryani by Nazreen Royal Caterers, chicken rice and tahu goreng by D’Manto x Mamie Yati.
Breaking fast Is not complete without drinks and desserts. Savour in traditional kueh such as putri salat and the rainbow kueh lapis or satisfy your sweet tooth with ondeh-ondeh cakes and other desserts by Crusts and Crumbs.
Complete your meals with drinks from the Geylang Serai bazaar favourite, Habibtea. For those who have not gave them a try, indulge in their all-time favourites, Arabiya selection or your choice of Mojiteas.

Bazaar Kita
Miss the Geylang Serai Ramadan Bazaar? Fret not as it is moving online! Bazaar Kita is an initiative by Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS) and Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with Shopee, GrabMart and Bungkus.

Similar to the physical Ramadan bazaar, a wide range of food and retail outlets are available in preparation for iftar and Hari Raya Aidilfitri on the site. From iftar meals to desserts, from baju kurung to kain songket, you name it! All are available at the site via the different online retail platforms.
Also, do not miss out on WGS programmes featuring local celebrities and join them as they host cooking, entertainment and comedy shows. These performances will be streamed via social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.
For those who wish to feel the Hari Raya spirit, the annual Hari Raya light up at Geylang Serai will still take place with eye catching decorative neon lights that will be on display.
Don’t let the pandemic limit your Ramadan activities and keep the spirit up with a new take on Ramadan bazaars. Share this with your friends and family and head down to the mini bazaars to indulge in your favourite Ramadan meals.
