I love food. It makes me happy. But what if you can customise your own food? Make cute pancake shapes, make your own pizza, or even make your own teppanyaki?

I have always wanted to head to DIY restaurants to customise my own dish. Good news is there are so many of them here in Singapore. Let’s look at some of the DIY restaurants here in Singapore. I definitely need to go on a DIY food date real soon!
Good Chance Popiah
This DIY popiah restaurant is belongs to three generation founder, Mr Hou Shen Hu. Good Chance Popiah Eating House was created by Mr Hou in 1977 after he retired as a coach for Singapore National Basketball Team.

His skills have been passed down by his elders and it has been a tradition in his family. It has also been passed down to his grandson to continue the family tradition. As the name of the restaurant suggests, Good Place Popiah specialises in Hokkien Popiah.
The ingredients are pretty simple, such as cabbage, turnip, carrots, and more. What makes it so special is that shrimp is added to enhance the fragrance and sweetness of the popiah. Diners will be given the ingredients to construct their own popiah. These ingredients include sweet sauce, coriander, and more.
