Staying home can be quite boring. Due to the pandemic, now that more tighter restrictions are in place, most of us have nothing to do. We cannot head out in huge groups, dine out or to just chill. Life is different now because of COVID-19.
Fortunately, there are some ways you can keep yourself occupied while staying home – dance your heart out, try out new recipes and more. For all those art lovers out there, you can catch up on the art scene in Singapore. Let’s look at some of the art performances you can catch up on this weekend!
As Far as Isolation Goes
As Far As Isolation Goes is a visual art performance as part of SIFA 2021. Brought to you by Lebanese-British live artist, Tania El Khoury and musician and street artist, Basel Zaraa, As Long as Isolation Goes is a wonderful work, exploring the mental and physical state of refugees.
This came about from their original collaboration, As Far as My Fingertips Take Me and recreated to suit the online context. It uses senses of touch and sound, and interactivity to bring their audience to get in touch with those faced in inhumane detention centres.
All in all, As Far as Isolation Goes creates a unique moment of connection and understanding.

Starting 7pm daily, join in as they share their views about the different elements and areas of art. These podcasts episodes are available on several platforms. You can head to SIFA 2021’s website or stream the podcast on Spotify and Soundcloud.
For those who are looking for theatre shows to watch, this next one is also brought to you by SIFA. Three Sisters tells the story of the relationship between three sisters. This performance opens the windows into the human condition.
This play is a hybrid work created by Nine Years Theatre (NYT) and the SITI Company from NYC. Actors from both companies will act alongside each other. This story is then told through opposing live bodies and virtual presence.
