I am pretty sure almost everyone experiences heartbreak. As for me, I have my own way of handling them. I listen to sad songs, watch sad romantic movies, and eat ice cream. I know, it is pretty unhealthy, very actually.
High School Musical: The Musical The Series (HSMTMTS) star, Olivia Rodrigo has just released her debut album and I am living. Many may know her hit songs such as driver’s license, which was number 1 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Other songs include déjà vu and good 4 u.

Her songs were all over social media when they were first released, so I can’t help myself and listened to them and I was immediately hooked. I was still processing my thoughts about good for u, and then she released her entire debut album. I was at a lost for words.
From Disney To The Stage
Olivia stared in a Disney Channel series, Bizaardwark, and the Disney+ series, HSMTMTS alongside her co-stars, Sofia Wylie, Joshua Bassett, Dara Renee and more. Olivia always had a strong passion for music. She wrote her own songs and even had the opportunity to write a song with her co-star, Joshua Bassett for their roles in HSMTMTS.

At only 18, Olivia has made her mark in the music industry and has gained over thousands of fans worldwide – including me! First of all, she is an incredibly talented singer. Secondly, her songs are so relatable.
Debut Album: Sour
Released on May 21st, 2021, her debut album, ‘Sour’, has gained so much attention from her fans and the media. Olivia announced the release over at Twitter and got fans excited. Her albums included her hit songs and other songs including some of my favourites such as traitor, happier, and enough for you.

This album screams heartbreak. She actually wrote these songs when she was 17 which was a “really strange age where you’re figuring out so many things: how to be treated, loved, and heartbreak.”
Olivia worked with Dan Nigro, a producer and songwriter who has worked with other popular artists such as Conan Gray, Lewis Capaldi and more.
The Songs
Olivia explains that there are several genres in the songs such as country, alternative rock, and a lot of folk, during an interview with The Face. I have to say, her album is pretty diverse. The tracks (in order) include:
- Brutal
- Traitor
- Driver’s License
- 1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back
- Déjà vu
- Good 4 U
- Enough for You
- Happier
- Jealousy, Jealousy
- Favourite Crime
- Hope Ur OK
The Album Got Fans In Love
The responds from fans about the album was all over Twitter and TikTok. Other celebrities such as Olivia O’brien and Eugene Lee Yang, were also praising Olivia for her work and the release of her album.

Fans were head over heels over this album. Her songs made me have emotional rollercoasters. As I listen to good 4 u, I feel strong and empowered and then I listen to traitor, I found myself crying so bad. Overall, this is a well-rounded album and I love it!
