Friends will always be one of my favourite TV series. I have watched all ten seasons and I honestly would not mind watching them again because it is very entertaining. I do have some favourite episodes such as The One with The Proposal, The One Where Ross is Fine and The One with The Prom Video.
I was pretty sad when watching the final episode. Firstly, the scene between Rachel and Ross was extremely emotional, it got to me. Secondly, it was the end of Friends. Monica and Chandler were about to move, Rachel and Ross and starting a family, same goes to Phoebe and Mike, and Joey, well he is still Joey.
Friends Reunion Announcement
Fans of the Friends series were all hoping for a reunion and finally, each cast member announced the reunion on their Instagram page. They each posted the exact same image with the caption, ‘It’s happening.’
When I saw this, I was extremely thrilled. Not only will they have a special episode for their fans but we get to see them being with each other again and sharing their favourite moments on set. This was definitely a moment all their fans were waiting for – including me!
Friends Reunion Trailer
I dropped a tear just by watching the trailer. It was released on May 20th, 2021 and man I was screaming because I was so excited for it. The trailer showed snippets of the cast reminiscing on their time on set together. They even went through some scenes together.
Apart from that, we can also see that some of the guest stars made an appearance on this special episode such as Maggie Wheeler who played Janice (many may know her due to her iconic phrase, Oh My God!). Another guest star who made an appearance was Tom Selleck who played Monica’s rich boyfriend, Richard Burke.
Official Release of The Special Episode
The special episode was released on May 27th, 2021 on HBO Max. It was truly a special moment for the cast. This is definitely all that we need. It is truly magical to see them finally being together again and talking about the fun they had together on set.
Each of them goes on saying how much they miss everything they had, how much they laughed together and just how much they have bonded throughout the filming process. I have to say my favourite part is when they re-enact their scenes as they read their scripts.
It is really amazing to watch them re-enact their scenes; it is exactly the same. The cast is extremely talented.
This special episode will always have a special place in my heart. The Friends series will also have a special place in my heart. There is so much to learn from it; friendships and relationships. I have missed them so much and I think I am going to rewatch the series again!
